Our Hawaiian Adventure

Pali Lookout, Island of Oahu

Our adventure begins in Vancouver, British Columbia

We stay at the beautiful Pinnacle Harborside and meet Chris and Sue King for lunch. The next day we board Celebrity Solstice for our cruise to Hawaii

Cruisin' and chillin'

Our first sea day was a "no see" day due to fog

The Island of Hawaii

Land fall at the Island of Hawaii. This was the first time we saw land since departing Vancouver six days ago

Kailua Kona, Hawaii

We tender in to Kailua Kona, Hawaii, our first port and explore the city

Hilo, Hawaii

Next stop is Hilo, Hawaii where we take a bus tour of the island

First stop is the Liliuokalani gardens

Later we hike to Akaka Falls and visit the rain forest zoo

Finally, Honolulu, Oahu

Solstice arrives at the Honolulu cruise port and we disembark

We stay at the Hale Koa Resort overlooking Waikiki Beach. Our room was amazing as was the luau we attended the first night

The second day we take a bus tour of Oahu visiting the Blow Hole, Byodo-Iin Temple, Waimea Falls, and the Pali Lookout

Pearl Harbor

On our last day we visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the Pearl Harbor Memorial

Then we tour USS Missouri and the USS Oklahoma Memorial. Contrasting the old with the new, USS Preble (DDG-88) passes by
